Understanding the Bible can be challenging. At the Edge, we believe everyone deserves the chance to understand Scripture better. One major challenge in understanding the Bible is that it was written by people who were ingrained in a totally different culture than our own. Our Senior Pastor at the Edge, Dr. Alexander Bolotnikov, is a professor, pastor, and theologian for the Seventh-day Adventist church. Raised in a Jewish family in communist Ukraine, he found Jesus at the age of 20 and joined the Adventist Church. Besides being the Pastor at The Edge, Pastor Sasha is also the Director of the Hebrew Bible Institute, a learning resource which helps Christians learn the original Jewish context of scripture to help us learn our Bibles better. Our Youtube channel features a weekly live sabbath school which dives into the historical context of the Adventist quarterly lesson and can help both Bible students and sabbath school teachers gain a better grasp on the sabbath school lesson.
